Earlvin T. Greene was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He began preached his first sermon at the age 14 under the leadership of his father, Jeremiah Greene, Sr., in Rocester, NY and further trainned and developed in preaching at age 16 by his grandfather, the late Ernest Wilson of Mount Vernon, NY. He served as an aspiring preacher under the leader and training of the late Edgar D. Brown at the Northside Church of Christ in Rochester, NY.
Completing his training as a paralegal / advocate, he began his work in the field of human services for the Monroe County Youth Advocacy Program at the age of 20.
In 1980, Mr. Greene left the city of Rochester, relocating to Boston, Mass., where he worked as a counselor with youth and in mental health. In Boston, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, where he served as the Behavioral Science Specialist. Mr. Greene completed his clinical training in psychology (Masters Level Diploma) at the Academy of Health & Science in San Antonio, Texas and holds a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the Theological University of American. He returned to Boston and continued his work as a Behavioral Specialist and counselor with youth at risk; working with gangs, and addressing the gang problem in the city of Boston. He also served on the Youth Gang Task Force with the Boston Police and the District Attorney’s Office from 1985 to 1990.
In 1987, Minister Greene started his own consulting business (E.T. Greene & Associates); conducting workshops, seminars and lectures throughout the New England area and the northeast. During which time he served as the chairperson of the board of the State Office for Children’s Bayside Council, chairperson of the Truancy Committee, and Lobbyist for the Commonwealth of Mass., where he was instrumental in the development of the State Children’s Caucus and co-author of the Truancy Report. He was awarded a Citation from the State House of Representatives, given an Honorary Gavel, and named as the “Unsung Hero” for Children of the Commonwealth for his work with families and youth in the Boston community and the Boston Public School System. It was during his stay in Boston from 1980 to 1990 that he also served as Assistant Minister at the Roxbury and Mattapan congregations of the Churches of Christ.
Upon his return to the city of Rochester, N.Y. in 1990, Minister Greene continued work with youth gangs as the Youth Program Coordinator and Counselor. He continued his ministry assisting at the Northside Church of Christ; preaching and teaching; conducting song leaders’ workshops, training and developing young men, and was the primary teacher on the radio and TV programs. In 1991, Minister Greene became the Vice-Principal of Student Affairs for the NorthsideChristian Academy where he served for 4 years, and worked part-time as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.
In 1995, Minister Greene relocated to Wayne County where he now serves (now for 14 years) as the Ministering Evangelist for the Church of Christ in Newark, N.Y., and was an Evaluator / Counselor for the Finger Lakes Addictions Counseling & Referral Agency in Clifton Springs, N.Y. until 2000. Also in 2000, Minister Greene became the Director of School Development for the Northside Christian Academy & Education Center in Rochester, N.Y; serving with the late Dr. Wilson Dicker until 2004. Currently, Minister Greene continues his work as full time Minister in Newark, N.Y. and is the Director of Wayne County Center for Dispute Settlement located in Lyons, NY. He is the Founder and Facilitator and former Director of the “May We Serve You” Ministries – Family Life Center in Newark, NY.

Member of the Wayne County Criminal Justice Council, the Board of Directors for the Wayne County Legal Aide, Lake Region American Cancer Society, Cultural Competency Committee of the Lyons Central School District, the Wayne County Housing Consortium, the Parent Support Connection Advisory Board and Foodlink Rochester Adivsory Council.
Minister Greene travels throughout the U.S., and Canada, conducting Gospel / Revival Meetings, and Youth Conferences/Rallies; speaking at Lectureships, and facilitating workshops and seminars. He has been preaching the gospel for over 30 years and has over 28 years of experience as a Behavioral Therapist.
Minister Greene resides in Lyons, New York with his wife Kalonda of 28 years. They have four children and three grandchildren.
Dean & Norma Jeanne Hartfiel
Dean & Norma Jeanne Hartfiel have been members of the Newark congregation for almost 40 years. Brother Hartfiel serves as the Assistant Minister; teaches the Sunday Morning Adult Bible class, has been a speaker/lecturer at the Annual Western, NY lectureship and produces our weekly bulletin.
He and his wife are also Directors of our Annual Vacation Bible School. Sister Hartfiel served for many years as Sunday school teacher, teacher of our ladies Bible classes, and facilitated workshops for women at our Annual Western NY Lectureship. She faithfully prepares communion each week and takes attendance each time the church comes together.
They are also engaged in several ministries which include: Meals-on-Wheels in Williamson, NY and the Lunch Program in Newark on Tuesdays.
Kalonda Dawn Greene
Sister Kalonda Dawn Greene, the wife of Minister E.T. Greene, has been a faithful member of the body of Christ since the age of 14.
Sister Greene has several certifications in the following areas: Parents as Teachers Facilitator, Parent Educator, and Family Counselor for Incarcerated Fathers. She travels throughout the U.S as a facilitator at conferences for incarcerated fathers and their children, Even Start programs, as well as the performing arts.
Sister Greene teaches fitness classes through dance and is the choreographer for a dance group called Youth Inspiration. She is also a member of the board of director for the Wayne County Multicultural Arts Project, Inc. and the Wayne Action for Racial Equality (W.A.R.E.), and is the Program Coordinator for the Family Life Center. She facilitates the "Healthy Birth / Healthy Baby" Pre & Post Natal Education Services, and co-facilitates the Effective Parenting Class. She holds an Associates Degree from the Finger Lakes Community College, in Human Services and is currently enrolled at Empire State College work towards her BA Degree.
Sister Greene regularly teaches the ladies bible classes, has facilitated workshops and lectures at Ladies' Days and our annual Western NY Lectureship, writes article for the church monthly newsletter, and leads small group Bible studies in the community. She is the mother of four children and has three grandchildren.
Sister Greene is currently the General Manager of the Church owned and operated thrift store, "Be Thrifty".
